Unexpected NABU tenders: buying boxing equipment and renting a dozen bar tables

According to the public procurement portal, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has announced several strange tender procedures since the beginning of the year, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Rental of skirting boards and bar counters
In May this year, the NABU signed contracts for property lease services. The winner was the Aviation and Rocketry Engineering Company Joint Stock Company.
According to the published contract, NABU rents from this “machine-building company” a plasma TV, several dozen armchairs, various cabinets, cabinets, a sofa, 16 bar tables, a bar counter, a sink, a hood, an electric stove, an aluminum skirting board, and even a flag with fringes.
The value of the contract is UAH 79,497.04, which is in line with the expected value. During the tender, the purchase amount did not decrease by a single penny.
It is worth noting that the Aviation and Rocketry Engineering Company changed its director in March this year. The company actively participates in public procurement and mainly provides medical services, medical practices and sells parts for one of the disposable melee weapons.
Boxing equipment
In April of this year, the NABU conducted two procurements of boxing equipment at once. The Bureau purchased two wall-mounted mats for more than UAH 30 thousand from the individual entrepreneur NELEDVA MAXIM VOLODYMYROVYCH.
Also, anti-corruption activists bought two boxing bags worth almost UAH 7.5 thousand from another individual entrepreneur, Dmytro Potyako.

In April, the NABU published a decision on the victory of Andrii Kharytych, a private entrepreneur, in a tender for the supply of a video microscope to the Bureau (until December 15, 2025).
No additional information about this product is currently available on the ProZorro website. The contract has not yet been published.
Banknote counter
In March 2025, the NABU also entered into an agreement with LLC Business Technologies for the supply of a banknote counter worth almost UAH 100,000.
As a reminder, the state budget for 2025 provides a total of UAH 2.179 billion to finance the activities of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) (UAH 1.874 billion in 2024).
