Land plots not registered in a new way will be seized from 2025

Starting from 1 January 2025, land plots will be confiscated from land share owners who have not properly registered them. This was announced on Facebook by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation Denys Bashlyk, reports .
The official recalled that if the owner of an unclaimed land share or his heir has not registered the ownership of the land plot by 1 January 2025, he is considered to have refused to receive the land plot. Unclaimed land plots will be recognised as ownerless and transferred to the communal ownership of the territorial community where they are located.
Those who have land share certificates that have not been replaced by an extract from the Register of Property Rights to Land Plots should urgently register their ownership.
According to Bashlyk, the relevant provision is provided for in parts 4 and 5 of Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Procedure for Allocation of Land Plots in Kind (on the Ground) to Owners of Land Shares (Units)”.
