The time and place of the funeral of TV presenter Nelipa, who died in the war, are announced

The funeral of showman Maxim Nelipa, who died at the front , will be held in Kyiv on May 23. This was reported by the brother of the deceased, Andriy Nelipa, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The funeral will be held at the House of Culture of Kyiv Polytechnic University, where the Ukrainian TV presenter graduated in 2001.

“Dear friends, colleagues, readers. The farewell to Maksym Nelipa will take place on Friday, 23.05.2025, in Kyiv at the KPI House of Culture. The meeting is at 10:30,” he wrote.

Maksym Nelipa’s brother provided the contacts of the ceremony coordinators, as well as contacts for those wishing to send a wreath or flowers.

“If someone is unable to attend the funeral of Maxim, but wants to send a wreath, basket, flowers… please, we have a funeral service that will do everything. All the orders will be brought to the KPI House of Culture for the farewell and then to the burial,” he said.

Who is Maksym Nelipa?

Maksym Nelipa was born in 1976 in Kyiv.

He graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in instrumentation engineering. During his studies, he was the captain of the KVN team “Polytechnic Cowboys”, which was the start of his career in the entertainment industry.

He was a KVN star and gained national fame and love as the host of the TV lottery “Who’s There?” on 1 1 and the popular shows “Lose a Million” on ICTV and “Rise” on the New Channel.

In 2007, he took part in the project “Dancing with the Stars” together with Olena Shoptenko.

In 2017, he joined the Diesel Show team and participated in various comedy projects of Diesel Studio.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In January 2025, he was wounded at the front, underwent several surgeries in Dnipro, and after rehabilitation returned to service.
