On National Flag Day, 23 August, border guards raised the flag over the temporarily occupied territories in southern Ukraine. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi
with reference to the Telegram channel of the TELEGRAM CHANNEL OF THE STATE BORDER GUARD SERVICE.

In addition, maritime border guards also joined the raising of the national flag. They raised a yellow and blue flag at the sea gate of Ukraine – Vorontsov Lighthouse in Odesa. Border guards note that the ritual is organised annually by the Ukrainian Navy and initiated by the Vyshyvanka Festival NGO. This time, an 18-metre-long flag was installed at the lighthouse.
