On April 17, an explosion occurred at the local metal receiving base Vtorchermet in Lyubertsy, Russia, near Moscow. This was reported by the Russian TV channel SHOT, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Emergency services are on their way to the site.
Initially, it was reported that the explosion occurred at the Vtorchermet metal reception center. However, later it was clarified that the epicenter was the Vtoraluminproduct plant.
There is no information about the victims.
Later, Russian propagandists clarified that the explosion occurred during the technical launch of a shredder unit and that the incident did not affect the operation of the Vtoraluminproduct plant.
The real cause of the explosion is still unknown.
On April 16, a massive fire broke out at one of the enterprises in Kursk, Russia. Local media, citing residents of the city, reported an explosion before the fire at the APZ-20 plant.
It was also reported that a fire was reported in the town of Kropotkin, Krasnodar Krai, near the local refinery.
