SAPO and NABU officers exposed the deputy prosecutor of Zaporizhzhia region on receiving a $40,000 bribe. This was reported by the SAPO press service, Komersant ukrainskyi

“On 23 September 2024, in cooperation with the Prosecutor General, SAPO prosecutors, together with NABU detectives, exposed the Deputy Prosecutor of Zaporizhzhia region on receiving USD 40 thousand in undue advantage,” the statement said.
It is noted that the deputy regional prosecutor requested and actually received an undue advantage in the amount of USD 40,000 for resolving the issue of changing the jurisdiction in criminal proceedings, ensuring the cancellation of the arrest of a person’s property and not bringing him to criminal liability based on the results of the pre-trial investigation.
The primary investigative actions are ongoing. The preliminary legal classification of the prosecutor’s actions is Part 4 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The issue of serving a notice of suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint is currently being decided.
It should be noted that the SAPO press release refers to a female deputy regional prosecutor. Currently , according to the website of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Natalia Maksymenko is the deputy head.
