17 April 06:23
All mass events on Easter have been canceled in Ivano-Frankivsk region. This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Russia continues to terrorize civilians. We have repeatedly seen how insidious the enemy is. It targets peaceful cities, hospitals, residential neighborhoods, and kills civilians. The tragic events that took place in March in Ivano-Frankivsk, when enemy special services recruited local teenagers to carry out a terrorist attack, the insidious missile attacks on Kryvyi Rih and Sumy, which killed dozens of people, including children, remind us all that the war continues throughout Ukraine, there is a threat everywhere,” she emphasized.
Thus, the Defense Council of Ivano-Frankivsk region decided to cancel all mass events.
They also recommended that community leaders refuse to hold events that would involve large crowds.
As a reminder, Easter is celebrated in Ukraine this year on April 20.
The police, rescuers, and the Security Service of Ukraine will work in an enhanced mode during the holidays in Kyiv region.
Here are the main restrictions and security measures:
- The curfew is unchanged. Staying outside at night is prohibited.
- Night services should be broadcast online.
- You can visit churches after the curfew is over.
- It is recommended to schedule services and bless Easter baskets to avoid large crowds in one place.
- In the event of an air raid, believers should immediately go to shelters. The number of people present in the church should correspond to the capacity of the nearest shelter.
