Mandatory evacuation of the population will be carried out in 23 settlements of five communities in the Sumy region. This was reported by [Kommersant] with reference to the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, who spoke on the air of the national telethon.
According to him, the decision was made during a meeting of the Regional Defence Council. Despite the fact that the region is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the situation remains quite tense.
Volodymyr Artyukh said that it is planned to evacuate 6,000 people, including 425 children. They will be provided with ready-made accommodation.
“First and foremost, the task is to evacuate families with children,” said the head of the JMA.
Residents of which communities will be evacuated
The evacuation concerns the following territorial communities in the region:
- Krasnopilska;
- Mykolaivska;
- Miropilska; Myropilska;
- Yunakivska;
- Khotynska.
The settlements of these territorial communities border the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, where fighting has been going on for more than a day.
