In Poland, repairs have begun at the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing point. This may lead to traffic difficulties. The work is scheduled to be completed on 12 November 2024. This was reported by the press service of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“According to information received from the Polish side, work has begun at the Medyka checkpoint to restore the paintwork on the metal structure of one of the sheds,” the statement said.
According to the border guards, the work may hamper traffic and increase waiting times for cars.
The work is tentatively scheduled to be completed on 12 November 2024.
Drivers are asked to take this information into account and choose other checkpoints if possible.
Earlier it was reported that Poland had resumed clearance at all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.
As a reminder, on 5 September, the Solotvyno-Sighetu Marmatiei checkpoint on the border with Romania partially suspended the passage of vehicles. The restrictions will remain in place for a month.
