It is noted that Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Levente Modjor to discuss the development of road checkpoints and improvement of transport links.

In December, thanks to our joint efforts, we launched the movement of empty trucks at the Luzhanka-Beregsurany checkpoint, where more than 500 trucks have already passed. Now we are actively working on the opening of the Velyka Palad-Nagyhodos passenger crossing point,” emphasized Derkach.
He noted that further funding for the reconstruction of the Luzhanka-Beregsurany checkpoint is provided by grants from the European Union under the European Connectivity Mechanism program.

In addition, the parties discussed the need to reconstruct the bridge over the Tisa River at the Chop-Zahony checkpoint and agreed on further steps to prepare a joint project to attract funding.

It is also planned to speed up the processing of vehicles at the Chop-Zahony checkpoint to increase throughput by improving the efficiency of control services.
