On the border with Poland, traffic will be restricted at one of the checkpoints until May
11 April 11:21
Traffic has been temporarily restricted at the Shehyni checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the State Border Guard Service.
These restrictions are related to the reconstruction and repair work at the checkpoint, which, according to preliminary forecasts, will last until mid-May 2025.
What is restricted:
Departurefrom Ukraine is restricted for:
- passenger cars;
- freight vehicles.
Entry into Ukraine is restricted for trucks.
Thus, during the reconstruction, the Shehyni checkpoint will operate with limited functionality and will not be able to fully service the flow of cars and trucks.
What drivers are advised to do
To avoid congestion, long waiting times and possible complications on the road, it is recommended to plan your route in advance through other checkpoints on the border with Poland.
“In order to avoid traffic jams and long waits, we recommend choosing other checkpoints to cross the state border,” the press service emphasizes.
Alternative options may be the Krakivets, Rava-Ruska, Uhryniv or other nearby checkpoints.
It should be noted that at the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint on the border with Poland, a partial restriction on the movement of vehicles in the direction of entry into Ukraine was introduced until May 1.
