A bus carrying 19 children and four adults overturned in the Khmelnytsky region. A 12-year-old girl and one adult were killed in the accident. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the press service of the National Police.
The accident occurred at 07:45 near the village of Vyshnopil in the Starokostiantyniv community. The driver of the LAZ Liner bus was transporting a group of children accompanied by two adults from the village of Lyubar, Zhytomyr region, to the village of Mykulychyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
According to preliminary data, he lost control and caused the vehicle to overturn.
There were 23 people on the bus, including 19 children, two adults accompanying the group, and two drivers.
The Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a 12-year-old girl and a teacher accompanying the group died as a result of the accident.
16 children were taken to medical facilities. One child and the bus driver are in critical condition in intensive care.
