Mandatory evacuation of 28 more settlements extended in Kharkiv region

The Defense Council of Kharkiv region has decided to intensify the mandatory evacuation of 28 settlements of the Borovska community of Izyum district, including the administrative center – the village of Borova. This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synegubov, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

“The evacuation from Borova community has been intensified. At a meeting of the Kharkiv Regional Defense Council, it was decided to carry out a mandatory evacuation of children with families from 28 settlements of the Borivska settlement territorial community. 93 children with their families are to be evacuated from the villages of the Borivska community,” said the head of the JMA.

In addition, a decision was made to evacuate the entire adult population from the settlements where active hostilities are taking place: Borova village and Novoplatonivka, Shyikivka, Pidlyman, Nyzhnya Zhuravka, Borivska Andriivka, Nyzhche Solone, Vysche Solone, Maliivka and Pisky-Radkivski villages.

According to the JMA, 2,443 people remain in these settlements.

The increased evacuation is primarily due to the increased number of attacks by Russian troops. In addition, the administrative infrastructure in most of the settlements has been severely damaged. Therefore, it is difficult to continue to maintain public utilities and police, as well as to ensure public order.
