In 2024, companies in the transport and postal sector received UAH 219.82 billion in revenue, which is 14% more than last year. This is reported by Opendatabot, Komersant ukrainskyi inform.
Half of the top ten leaders are 5 state-owned enterprises, which brought in a total of UAH 160.89 billion (73% of the total income of the top 10).
Four of them managed to make a profit and only one suffered losses.
By the way, in 2022, the situation was exactly the opposite.
For several years in a row, almost half of the leaders’ revenues have been accounted for by state-owned Ukrzaliznytsia – UAH 92.62 billion or 42% of total revenue. Over the year, the rail carrier’s revenues grew by almost a quarter.
Ukrtransnafta made the largest profit among all companies: uAH 19.67 billion. This is a 4-fold increase compared to 2022. The company’s revenue was UAH 10.96 billion (22%).
The state-owned operator of the Ukrainian gas transmission system made a profit of UAH 11.11 billion. At the same time, business revenue decreased by 22% to UAH 36.03 billion.
In the previous Index, Ukrtransgaz was listed with a loss of UAH 5.45 billion. The situation improved over the year, and the company managed to break even and earn UAH 143 million.
Ukrposhta was the only state-owned company to make a loss last year. Its losses decreased by 1.6 times over the year, but still reached UAH 796 million. Accordingly, the company’s revenue increased by 12% to UAH 11.58 billion.
Nova Poshta ranked second in the ranking in terms of revenue with UAH 36.47 billion. Its net profit almost doubled to UAH 3.97 billion.
The ranking also includes 2 companies belonging to Oleksandr Radavsky’s holding, Promvagontrans and Beregovo Grain Receiving Enterprise. Both companies increased their revenue by 31% and 9% respectively. Nevertheless, both businesses became unprofitable at the end of the year: UAH 16.6 million and UAH 174.5 million, respectively.
They also made it to the top 10:
- Lemtrans, which is part of Rinat Akhmetov’s SCM Group, with revenue of UAH 7.14 billion (-17%);
- Logistic Union, which is part of ATB Corporation, with a revenue of UAH 6.5 billion (20%).
