The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine advises Ukrainians to refrain from travelling to Israel and Lebanon amid the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
The ministry also gave recommendations to those citizens who are already in these countries.
The Foreign Ministry also recommends refraining from travelling to:
- territories bordering the Lebanese and Syrian borders;
- territories bordering the Gaza Strip;
- territories of the West Bank.
In addition, the Ministry has updated its recommendations for Ukrainian citizens in connection with the deteriorating security situation in the Lebanese Republic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends that Ukrainian citizens refrain from travelling to Lebanon until the security situation stabilises, and that those who are in the country leave its territory.
Citizens who have made a personal decision to extend their stay in Lebanon are urged to follow the updated recommendations.
In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends refraining from travelling to:
- territories bordering the Syrian border;
- areas bordering the Israeli border south of the Litani River;
- nahr al-Bared and Beddawi refugee camps near Tripoli, Ain al-Hilweh and Mieh Mieh near Sayda;
- the Bekaa Valley and the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Dahiyeh district.
In case of an emergency, a threat to life and health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Ukraine immediately contact the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon by phone ( 961) 5921668, by e-mail [email protected] or the round-the-clock hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: 38-044-238-16-57, or by e-mail: [email protected].
