Customs officials have revealed who is the main importer for Ukraine. And it’s not Poland or Germany

In 11 months of 2024, Ukraine’s trade turnover amounted to $101.9 billion: goods worth $63.6 billion were imported to Ukraine, and $38.3 billion were exported. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

At the same time, the State Customs Service clarified that taxed imports amounted to $52.1 billion, which is 82% of the total volume of imported goods.

Ukraine’s largest trading partners

Countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods:

– China – $13 billion,

– Poland – $6.3 billion,

– Germany – $4.8 billion.

Ukraine exported most of its goods to:

– Poland – by $4.4 billion,

– Spain – by $2.7 billion,

– Germany – by $2.7 billion.

What are the most imported and exported goods?

The following categories accounted for 65% of the total volume of goods imported in January-November 2024

– machinery, equipment and transport – $22.2 billion,

uAH 155.5 billion was paid to the budget during customs clearance of these goods, which is 29% of customs revenues;

– chemical products – $10.7 billion,

uAH 79.6 billion was paid to the budget during the customs clearance of these goods, which is 15% of customs revenues;

– fuel and energy products – $8.2 billion,

uAH 142.3 billion was paid to the budget during the customs clearance of these goods, which is 27% of customs revenues.

The top three most exported goods from Ukraine are:

– food products – $22.6 billion

– metals and metal products – $4.1 billion

– machinery, equipment and transport – $3.2 billion.

In the first 11 months of 2024, UAH 270.3 million was paid to the budget during customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties.
