Customs officers warn of delays at the border on the night of 31 July

30 July 2024 22:24

The State Customs Service has warned of possible delays at the border on the night of 30-31 July. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the State Customs Service.

“Starting from 23:00 on 30 July 2024, the State Customs Service will carry out technical work to update the server software of the Unified Automated Information System of Customs Authorities,” the statement said.

The technical work is expected to take about six hours.

It is also noted that during this time, there may be interruptions in the functioning of the software used by customs officers at checkpoints.

This may lead to delays in crossing the state border for persons, goods and vehicles.

In addition, during the technical works, it will be temporarily impossible to cross the border at the Uzhhorod-Avtomobilny checkpoint of the Transcarpathian Customs.

Citizens are asked to take this information into account when planning their border crossing.

As reported by Kommersant Ukrainian Komersant.Info, since 17 July, border guards have been checking military registration documents of all male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 when they cross the border to leave.

In an interview with Kommersant Ukrainian Komersant.Info, Andriy Demchenko told whether an electronic military registration document can completely replace a paper one, what the queues are like at the border with Ukraine and shared information on how to avoid congestion at checkpoints.

Demchenko reminded that the Western Regional Directorate’s Facebook page publishes the state of congestion at the checkpoints in the west every three hours so that people can get acquainted with the situation and choose the least congested checkpoints.

The Facebook page of the Western Regional Directorate is https://www.facebook.com/zahidnuy.kordon
