Vehicles may be seized for the needs of the Armed Forces: details of the draft law on mobilisation

People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak emphasised that the new draft law on mobilisation contains a clause on the seizure of personal vehicles and restrictions on their use. He reports that
“Perhaps it is only a limited list of vehicles, including tractors, special equipment and construction machinery, but such provisions look alarming. I appeal to the business community, especially to the logistics, construction and agricultural sectors, to be careful,”
– said the MP.
The text of the draft law refers to the establishment of a military transport duty to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in times of special circumstances.

This obligation applies to central and local authorities, other government agencies, as well as to citizens who own vehicles.
The vehicles are to be returned to their owners within 30 calendar days from the date of demobilisation.
