Wet snow and stormy wind: weather forecast for November 21

Today, November 21, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate in Ukraine due to the passage of an atmospheric front. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Rains with a transition to sleet, sometimes heavy precipitation, gusty winds up to stormy winds, sleet, ice and the first ice cover are forecast throughout the territory.

“The air temperature will be temporarily divided into high and severe cold. However, where it will still be warm tomorrow, it will also start to get colder on November 22,” the forecaster wrote.

Difficult weather is expected in Kyiv on November 21: rain turning into sleet, cold snap, and possible slush build-up. In addition, there will be strong, gusty winds in the capital today, and in the evening there will be ice.

According to the Ukrainian WeatherCenter, on November 21, Ukraine is expected to have mostly cloudy weather with different types of precipitation, depending on the region.

In the western regions, moderate snow is expected at night, with light snow possible in some places during the day. The temperature at night will range from 0° to 5° below zero, in the Carpathians – up to 8° below zero, and during the day it will be around 0°.

In Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions, sleet and rain are expected. At night, significant precipitation is possible, accompanied by sleet. Temperatures in these regions will range from 0° to 3° Celsius at night and during the day.

In the rest of the country, moderate and sometimes heavy rains are forecast. Temperatures will reach 5-10° Celsius at night, up to 14° Celsius in Crimea, and will rise to 7-12° Celsius during the day, and 13-18° Celsius in the southeast.

Ice may form on the roads in the western and most northern regions and in Vinnytsia region, which increases the risk of accidents. It is recommended to be careful while traveling.

The wind will be mainly northwest, and at night on the Left Bank – south. Its speed will be 7-12 m/s, in many regions gusts of up to 17-22 m/s are possible.
