The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has amended the criteria for determining enterprises, institutions and organisations that are important for the national economy. This was reported by [comersant] with reference to Order No. 373 of 30 July 2024.
According to the new version, enterprises can be identified as important for the sectors of the national economy if they meet the following criteria
- they are audit entities that conduct statutory audits of financial statements of companies that are of public interest or strategic importance to the economy and security of the state;
- they perform work and provide legal, consulting and other services for the Ministry of Finance in the management of state-owned objects and the implementation of debt policy;
- control the fulfilment of obligations stipulated by law.
In addition, by Order No. 123 dated 08.08.2024, the Ministry of Digital Transformation amended the criteria for determining enterprises, institutions and organisations that are important for the national economy in the field of digitalisation, approved by Order No. 30 dated 23.03.2023.
In particular, the new wording sets out the first of the relevant criteria: enterprises that supply the core of an electronic communication network to providers of electronic communication services using mobile networks, providers of electronic communication services to data centres, providers of electronic communication networks that provide access to the Internet traffic exchange network, which are determined by the Ministry of Digital Transformation to be critical for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the vital activity of the population in a special period.
