The Ukrainian brand TAMAR KEBURIA presented a new SS25 collection called “Lucid Dreaming” at Ukrainian Fashion Week, which took place on 3 September 2024, reports Komersant ukrainskyi
The “Lucid Dreaming” collection explores the boundaries between reality and illusion, combining innovative design with attention to the smallest detail. The main theme of the collection is the interaction between normality and surrealism in the modern world.
“With ‘Lucid Dreaming’, we invite viewers to look beyond superficial impressions. Each element tells a story about the complex reality we face every day, a reality that changes and transforms before our eyes,”
– said designer Tamiko Keburia.
The collection consists of two thematic blocks:
- Ephemeral Illusions: Transparent, multi-layered images made of silk, organza and chiffon create a dreamy and extraterrestrial mood, flirting with the visual perception.
- Structural origami: Pleated elements symbolise the evolution of experience, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Each element of the collection acts as a visual monologue about the duality of existence, where the ephemeral is opposed to the tangible, and the perceived to the real. A special emphasis is placed on TAMAR KEBURIA’s signature pleating, which enhances the illusory effect. Black pleated elements contrast with illusion prints, creating depth and movement in the narrative.
The models embodied the images of extraterrestrial beings with androgynous features and pale faces, emphasising the ghostly aesthetics that challenges traditional notions of reality.
It is worth reminding that Ukrainian Fashion Week is being held for the first time since the beginning of the war.
on 3 September, as part of the event, the famous Ukrainian designer Nadia Dzyak presented a new collection of her brand.
