Ministry of Education: Teachers’ extra pay to be doubled from September 1

Teachers’ bonuses will be doubled on September 1. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andriy Stashkiv said this during a telethon, Ukrinform reports , Komersant ukrainskyi.
“Starting September 1, 2025, the surcharge will be doubled and will amount to 2600 hryvnias. Accordingly, teachers will receive at least 2000 hryvnias. Again, if a teacher works more than the full-time rate, this supplement will be increased proportionally,” Stashkiv said.
He added that the average teacher’s salary in Ukraine is 13 thousand UAH, but according to Stashkiv, this is not enough.
“I would like teachers to receive decent salaries. This is provided for in the law on education, when the minimum official salary is 3 minimum wages,” Stashkiv said.
He noted that teachers have been receiving additional payments since January 1.
