During the summer of 2024, the ANC pharmacy chain transferred UAH 5,893,700 to support the military, including UAH 300,000 in accumulated customer bonuses that they transferred to the Armed Forces. The funds were used to purchase unmanned aerial vehicles and ammunition, medicines, strengthen defence capabilities in the Zaporizhzhia sector and other urgent needs of the Ukrainian military.
The current Russian-Ukrainian war is often referred to in the information space as the “drone war”, as it has moved to a stage where unmanned aerial vehicles perform a variety of tasks, including reconnaissance, attacking the enemy and defending Ukrainian positions. The simplest of them – FPV drones – are always a pressing need at the front, because despite their simplicity and low cost, they are an effective weapon to defeat enemy forces, which also helps save lives for our soldiers. Given the growing need for drones of this type, in two months, the ANC Pharmacy Chain, at the request of Pharmsil, allocated UAH 1 million 900 thousand for the purchase of FPV drones. The UAVs were sent to the soldiers of the military unit A4722, who are fighting in the Zaporizhzhya sector.
Also in July, ANC provided UAH 1 million to meet the needs of the military in the Zaporizhzhia sector for the purchase of 28 DARTS UAVs. Another UAH 1 million 140 thousand for the purchase of 15 DJI Mavic 3 pro quadcopters for the 128th separate mountain assault brigade, which has been defending Zaporizhzhia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The quadcopters will be used for reconnaissance, mortar and fpv drone support, and some of them will be converted for dropping.
Three sets of Molfar-8 UAVs and a set of Darts UAVs were purchased by the Come Back Alive Charitable Foundation thanks to a donation of UAH 2 million 200 thousand from ANC. “The Molfar-8 is an 8-inch FPV kamikaze drone made in Ukraine, and the Darts is an aircraft-type kamikaze drone. These drones will help the artillerymen of the 44th Air Assault Brigade to fight the occupants’ equipment in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
Although the situation in the Zaporizhzhia sector remains stable, it is still difficult, so it is very important to continue to provide the Ukrainian military in this area with everything they need. Thus, in July, ANC Pharmacy Chain transferred UAH 1 million 200 thousand to support the military unit A3215 to cover the priority needs of the military. These funds were used to purchase 3 Mara 5.8 ELRS repeaters, 55 Molfar drones and 30 Rush Max Solo 5.8G radio transmitters. In addition, ANC allocated UAH 220,000 to purchase laptops, TVs and generators for the 55th Artillery Brigade headquarters.
ANC’s clients also contribute to helping Ukrainian defenders. As part of the LIKE programme, all its participants receive bonuses of 1% of their purchases, which they can transfer to the military if they wish. In July, the chain accumulated UAH 317 thousand of bonuses that its customers wished to send to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These funds helped to cover three urgent requests from the military in different areas of the frontline.
A significant portion of these funds – UAH 190 thousand – was redirected to purchase a bus for the needs of the 403rd separate rifle battalion.
Another request that was closed with the help of the pharmacy’s customers was the purchase of a Bandera Flashlight BFL 400 searchlight worth UAH 63 thousand for the 632nd Air Assault Brigade, which defends the sky over Zaporizhzhia. This will help the military to detect threats in the sky more quickly and destroy them before they can cause damage. The funds were also used to purchase small projectiles for dropping from drones in the Zaporizhzhia area.
For ANC Pharmacy Chain, it is important to keep in touch with colleagues who have defended Ukraine and help them with everything they need. therefore, the company continues to address the needs of its employees who have been mobilised to the ranks of the Armed Forces. Thus, in the summer, ANC received requests from colleagues to purchase ammunition, night vision devices, electronic warfare equipment and medicines necessary for the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. The ANC Pharmacy Chain allocated UAH 354 thousand for these needs. In August, the company transferred another UAH 125 thousand for the prosthetics of a wounded serviceman who worked as a pharmacist in one of the pharmacies in Odesa before joining the army.
In total, in 2024, the ANC pharmacy chain donated UAH 16 million to the needs of the military and people affected by the hostilities.
