Marta Kostiuk loses Australian Open quarter-final

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostiuk lost in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open to American Koko Hauff.

In a very tense match that lasted 3 hours and 8 minutes, the tennis players played two tiebreaks in the first two sets. Hauff won the first set, and Kostiuk won the second. Unfortunately, our tennis player did not have enough energy for the third set. So Kostiuk lost with a score of 1-2 (6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-3), 2-6).

the 21-year-old Marta Kostiuk is ranked 37th in the WTA world rankings. Reaching the quarter-finals of the Australian Open is her biggest achievement in her singles career. In doubles, Kostiuk reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open last year and twice reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros.

Another Ukrainian player, Diana Yastremska, continues to fight for the title at the Australian Open. She will meet Czech tennis player Linda Nosková in the quarter-finals.
