France is ready to deploy French fighter jets armed with nuclear bombs to other European countries. However, there are three conditions. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with TF1, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to him, France is ready to discuss the deployment of French nuclear fighters in other European countries, just as the United States does to share its “nuclear umbrella.”

“The Americans today have nuclear fighters in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Turkey. We are ready to start this discussion. I will officially define the framework in the coming weeks and months, but we have already started work with the reservations I mentioned,” Macron said.

He put forward three conditions for revising France’s nuclear deterrent.

“France will not pay for the security of others. It will not be taken away from what we need for ourselves. Finally, the final decision will always rest with the French president and the head of the armed forces,” Macron said.

European leaders visit Kyiv

As previously reported, on May 10, the leaders of the “Coalition of the Resolute” arrived in Kyiv. French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The visit took place against the backdrop of European leaders’ efforts to accelerate the cessation of Russian military aggression and ensure a just peace in Ukraine, in particular after a ceasefire of at least 30 days. The leaders also discussed the possibility of sending a contingent to Ukraine to monitor the ceasefire.

In addition, during the talks in Kyiv, the leaders of the “Coalition of the Resolute” called US President Donald Trump. The parties agreed to call on Russia to implement a complete ceasefire for 30 days starting May 12, and threatened to impose new sanctions in case of refusal.
