Drone Line in Action: direct access to unmanned systems units opened

The Diia app has launched a new recruitment service called the Drone Line, which allows users to apply for admission to well-known unmanned systems units of the Armed Forces and the State Border Guard Service. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, according to
The Ministry of Digital Transformation reminded that the Drone Line is an initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy that combines infantry and UAVs into a single strike system and scales the most effective combat experience in the Defense Forces to strengthen the military at ground zero, ensure control over the enemy and protect our infantry.
Which units you can apply to
The following units are waiting for recruits:
“K-2 – 20th separate regiment of unmanned systems.
“Achilles” – 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems.
“RAROG” – 427th separate regiment of unmanned systems.
“Birds of Magyars” – 414th separate brigade of strike unmanned aerial systems.
“Phoenix” – the Border Guard Unit of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
The new service in Diia makes it easier to join these units: no queues and no paperwork – just from your smartphone.
What you will have to do in the army
The following military specialties are offered to those who wish to join the unmanned forces:
FPV pilot
Reconnaissance copter operator
Reconnaissance wing operator
Strike wing operator
Night bomber
Ground support team
Decryption and analytics
Engineering/technical/repair
Who can apply and how to apply
Citizens of Ukraine aged 18-55 who have a military ID and are fit for military service can apply.
To apply, you need to:
1. Log in to Diia
2. Select Services – Drone line
3. Get acquainted with the information about the divisions
4. Select a unit and add information about yourself: military service/training experience and contact details
5. Submit an application.
The service is available to candidates who are not active military personnel.
As you know, in early February, the commanders of five different unmanned systems units joined forces in a joint project called “The Power of the Army’s Drones.”
It was about the newly created separate regiments of unmanned systems: the 20th K-2 Regiment, the 429th Achilles Regiment, the 427th RAROG Regiment, the Phoenix Regiment, and the separate 414th Magyar Birds Brigade.

In a joint statement, the commanders of these units announced an unprecedented recruitment of civilians, transferred soldiers, and servicemen in the AFU to their military units. They promised to ensure comfortable mobilization of those who are willing, efficient service, and safety.
Recruiting centers offer more than 10 thousand vacancies in the army
In February, 5,341 people applied to the recruiting centers of the Ukrainian army, including 1,098 in the last week of the month. In total, since the centers began operating, their specialists have provided consultations to 43,464 citizens.
The number of candidates who started the process of joining the army in February amounted to 772 people. In total, this figure has increased to 8,881 candidates since the centers began operating.
The share of women has increased: now it is 21%, or 1,830 people, of the total number of candidates for the Defense Forces. The highest percentage of women applied in Vinnytsia (44%), Chernivtsi (43%) and Khmelnytskyi region (41%).
In addition, a new recruiting center for the Ukrainian army was opened last month in Boryspil (Kyiv region). The network now includes 49 centers, including 1 that operates online throughout Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense reminds that the Ukrainian army recruitment centers do not issue summonses, and all consultations are confidential.
