Leaders of the agricultural sector: who earned the most in 2024

Ukrainian agrarians showed impressive financial results: the total profit of the top companies according to the Opendatabot 2025 Index amounted to UAH 19.92 billion, and the total revenue was UAH 146.16 billion. This is 70% more than in 2024. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Opendatabot.

The list includes companies specializing in poultry farming, grain growing, and seed processing.

For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war, all market leaders have made a profit, and their total revenue increased 1.7 times compared to UAH 86.5 billion in 2024.

Agricultural sector leaders: who earned the most?

The undisputed number one is Vinnytsia Poultry Farm

The flagship of the agricultural sector, part of Yuriy Kosyuk’s MHP Group, topped the ranking. Its revenue amounted to UAH 49.7 billion, which is a third of the earnings of all companies in the Index. Profit increased 6.5 times to UAH 4.02 billion.

Mironivska Poultry Farm – stable growth

Another MHP company is in second place, with revenues up 17% to UAH 24.97 billion and profits up 2.3 times to UAH 3.12 billion.

Breakthrough of the Year – Lebedynsky Seed Plant (LNZ Group)

This is a real sensation: the company increased its profit 43 times, to UAH 143 million, on revenues of UAH 18.7 billion. This jump is a record among all the agricultural companies on the list.

MHP , with UAH 9.98 billion in revenue, showed the largest revenue increase among all the companies in the Index (almost 2 times). After a difficult 2023, which the company closed with a loss, last year’s profit amounted to UAH 2.43 billion.

Enselco Agro, a part of Andriy Verevsky’s Kernel Group, became the top company in terms of profit, but ranked only 5th in terms of revenue. The company managed to increase its profits almost 4 times over the year and earned UAH 4.22 billion. At the same time, revenue grew by only a third, to UAH 9.67 billion.

Another company from Kernel Group, Druzhba Nova, took the next place. In total, Kernel’s businesses account for another 30% of the top ten’s profits. In fact, Druzhba-Nova increased its revenue by 9% to UAH 8.16 billion and received UAH 1.88 billion in profit against UAH 1.81 billion in losses in 2023.

The Index also includes:

Urozhay (MHP) – UAH 6.84 billion in revenue and UAH 1.77 billion in profit;
Starynska Poultry Farm (MHP) – UAH 6.74 billion in revenue and UAH 1.12 billion in profit;
Dniprovsky (Oleksandr Ryazanov’s agricultural holding) – UAH 5.81 billion in revenue and UAH 365 million in profit;
Oril-Leader (MHP) – UAH 5.58 billion in revenue and UAH 0.84 billion in profit.

Who fell out of the ranking?

Not all players managed to hold their positions.

Last year was difficult for Poroshenko Jr’s business: two companies lost their positions and left the Index. We are talking about Podillya PC and Zorya Podillya PC with a total revenue of UAH 9.89 billion.

Also, Zakhidnyi Buh with revenue of UAH 5.5 billion was not included in the Index.
