Chinese businessman acquires the largest private amber company in Ukraine
6 November 06:10The Rivne-based company Center Solar Craft, which last year was Ukraine’s largest private raw amber miner, was bought by Chinese citizen Ren Yongpeng. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the industry publication Nadra.Info.
According to the publication, on November 5, 2024, Ren Yongpeng’s Ukrainian company, Lumos Plus LLC, officially became the sole member of Center Solar Craft LLC. A few days earlier, Lumos Plus director Fedir Horban was appointed as the company’s CEO.
Lumos Plus LLC was founded quite recently – in September 2024. Despite the company’s minimum authorized capital of UAH 1,000, it has become the owner of one of the largest amber mining companies in Ukraine. It is known that Ren Yongpeng is from Shaanxi Province in China, but Lumos Plus does not currently have any special permits for the use of subsoil.
Previously, Center Solar Craft was owned by Ukrainian entrepreneurs: Concorde Capital founder Ihor Mazepa (58%), Yuriy Blahodyr (32%), who also served as the company’s CEO from 2021 to 2024, and Halyna Simsa (10%).
A source in the subsoil use market said that the closing of the deal and the update of the data on the ultimate beneficial owner is expected in the coming days.
It is worth noting that Ihor Mazepa and Yuriy Blahodyr continue to own another amber mining company, Solnechne Remeslo LLC, which was previously known as Sankamyan. The third member of this company is another Chinese citizen, Wang Zhikai.

Center Solar Craft LLC was founded in 2007. The authorized capital is UAH 1 million.
The company mines amber at the Volodymyrets Skhidnyi deposit in Rivne region (special permit No. 5021, valid until 2029) (YouControl).
In 2023, the company extracted 11,623.04 kg of amber, second only to Volynpryrodresurs of the Volyn Regional Council (14,667.27 kg).
