The deceased 17-year-old boy, whom his friends hoped to find alive on April 24 at the site of a Russian missile strike on the Svyatoshinsky district of the capital, is named Danylo Khudya. He was studying at the Kyiv Aviation Vocational College, majoring in Aviation and Rocket and Space Engineering.

This was told to hromadske by one of Danylo’s friends who studied at the same school with him, Ivan, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Danya was a person like I have never seen before. He was always positive, always playing soccer with us at school 185. He even helped me with my work because he worked for Glovo. But we can’t do anything about it, my brother will remain in our hearts forever. He is always with us…” says the schoolboy.

Danylo’s father Oleh and mother Viktoriia also died. Only Danylo’s younger sister managed to escape, and she is now in the hospital. According to hromadske, the girl already knows about the loss.

They lived on the first floor of the house that was hit by a Russian ballistic missile.

According to Danylo’s friends, his father was a military man.

“His father was at the front in 2022, a tanker. Then he was wounded and underwent rehabilitation…” said the mother of one of the students.

Yesterday, a group of schoolchildren waited for news of their friend from 5 am while clearing the rubble. In the evening, it became known that no miracle had happened: rescuers unblocked the boy’s body from the rubble.

On the night of April 24, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and drones.

Various objects in several districts of the capital were destroyed. The Sviatoshynskyi district suffered the most – the occupiers hit a residential building with a missile. An entire residential neighborhood was damaged.

The attack killed 12 people and injured 87 others.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had preliminary information that the Russians had used a ballistic missile made in North Korea to attack Kyiv. Ukrainian security services are currently checking all the details.
