Kyiv welcomes Ukrainian Fashion Week FW25-26: from offline to virtual space
11 December 08:05Ukrainian Fashion Week FW25-26 will take place in Kyiv on February 14-17, 2025. More than 40 Ukrainian brands, including FROLOV, GASANOVA, J’AMEMME, KSENIASCHNAIDER, NADYA DZYAK, the COAT, TG Botanical, VOROZHBYT&ZEMSKOVA, will present their collections, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
The official schedule will be announced in January.
The new season is not only about innovation, but also about the struggle for freedom and cultural identity. All this is reflected in the event’s motto: “Faith in the Future”. Brands continue to actively support the development of Ukrainian fashion, even in times of war.
“Ukrainian Fashion Week is more than a platform for innovation and creativity. Fashion is an important component of national culture that shapes our common vision of the future, and the Ukrainian fashion community has become one of the voices of a nation fighting for its freedom and identity,” says Iryna Danilevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.
This year, the digital format of the event plays an important role. Together with VLGE.COM, a virtual space for viewing collections will be created, where everyone will be able to “visit” Mystetskyi Arsenal online.
The Ukrainian Fashion Week season will include several important projects initiated to support young designers and brands.
One of these initiatives will be the programs to help young fashion brands created by KACHOROVSKA and INTERTOP. Details of these initiatives will be announced later.
NewGen Lab is an innovative space that will appear at Mystetskyi Arsenal. This platform was created specifically for designers who are not yet ready to show in the official Ukrainian Fashion Week Program, but are making their first steps in the professional world. NewGen Lab is 100 square meters of opportunities, search and experimentation. It is a place to present ideas, find like-minded people or attract the attention of experts. The NewGen Lab program includes educational and practical events: PR lectures, Q&A sessions with industry experts, a master class on responsive design, and more. A detailed program of NewGen Lab events will be announced soon.
“This project not only demonstrates UFW’s commitment to the future of fashion, but also creates conditions for the development of new names that will shape the face of the industry tomorrow,” says Iryna Danylevska.
Ukrainian Fashion Week continues the trade show format, which became a successful platform for professional interaction between brands and buyers last season. This format helps to develop the domestic market and open new business opportunities for Ukrainian fashion brands, supporting the development of the industry even in the face of the challenges of a full-scale war.
An important component of the FW25-26 season will be the Doctors for Heroes charity initiative aimed at supporting the military who have suffered severe facial injuries. Each designer will have the opportunity to change the life of a particular person and restore their sense of self-confidence. The project will be implemented within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Ukrainian Fashion Week and the YANKO Charitable Foundation.
