KUSUM lost a warehouse worth UAH 1 billion due to an enemy drone: how it will affect the supply of medicines

On the morning of April 12, 2025, the warehouse of the KUSUM Group of Pharmaceutical Companies (pharmacy warehouse of Gledpharm LTD LLC) in Kyiv was directly hit by a hostile Russian drone. As a result of the attack, the warehouse was completely destroyed. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the company’s press service.
Damage and consequences
The warehouse stored finished medicines, active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients for the production of medicines, and new production equipment. The total amount of losses is estimated at approximately UAH 1 billion.
“This is a serious financial loss for our company, but the most important thing is that none of our employees were injured,” the statement said.

“These actions are an attempt to intimidate Ukrainians and provoke a humanitarian catastrophe. But it is impossible to break the spirit of the Ukrainian people,” KUSUM said.
The company notes that its top priority now is to resume the supply of medicines and ensure the continuity of treatment for patients who need their medicines every day.
