The most popular electronic services among Ukrainians are Diia, vehicle registration, and information from state registers. This is stated in a study by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, which found out the opinions of Ukrainians on the provision of electronic public services, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

According to the survey, the level of satisfaction with digital services in Ukraine increased by 5% and reached 84% in 2024 compared to 78.5% in 2023.

The majority of Ukrainians support the digitalization trend. Every second respondent prefers online services. At the same time, 31% of respondents combine electronic and traditional ways of receiving services, and 11% completely prefer the offline format.

The study also revealed an unexpected trend in the use of digital services. While in 2023, 64% of respondents actively used them, in 2024 this figure was 55%. The researchers suggest that the reason is the automation of processes and the reduction in the need for one-time services – even more processes are taking place without “manual” regulation.

Experts from the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology also found that 67% of respondents indicated a lack of need for digital services, 44% indicated a lack of necessary skills, and 26% expressed distrust in the online format.

Ukraine is among the leaders in the development of digital public services

As of the middle of last year, Ukraine was ranked 5th in the world in terms of the level of development of digital services provided by the state in the Online Services Index. This was found out in the framework of the relevant international study E-Government Development Index, which evaluates 193 countries and is developed by the United Nations.

As the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized at the time, Ukraine was ranked 102nd in 2018.

“97 positions up in 6 years, the numbers speak for themselves. The goal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to build the most convenient state in terms of public services, so all the services launched by the Ministry are user-oriented,” the official emphasized.

Ukraine’s success in the field of digital technologies was recognized by the NBU

The National Bank of Ukraine has dedicated a commemorative coin to Ukraine’s achievements in the field of digital technologies and innovations. The name of the new commemorative silver coin is “Digital State”.

It was presented by NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyi last December during the UAFIN.TECH 2024 conference, which brought together representatives of state regulators, financial and technological sectors to discuss current trends in the country’s innovative development.
