“Unfortunately, the information about the accident on the road has been confirmed. Igor Kopytin and his driver are now in serious condition, they have indeed been seriously injured. According to Ukrainska Pravda, the accident occurred late on Wednesday evening, 28 August.
Journalists’ sources in law enforcement agencies said that at around 23:31, on the 78th kilometre of the M-05 Kyiv-Odesa motorway, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado hit a concrete barrier.
As a result of the crash, MP Kopytin, who was in the passenger seat, sustained injuries and fractures and was hospitalised at Bila Tserkva City Hospital No. 2.
The driver of the car also sustained injuries and was hospitalised in the same hospital.
This incident was registered in the Unified Register No. 33299 of the Bila Tserkva District Police Department in Kyiv region.
