Following the November 2024 presidential election, the U.S. Congress officially confirmed Donald Trump’s victory for the presidency. It also approved J.D. Vance as vice president. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to The New Yourk Times.

Donald Trump and J.D. Vance received 312 votes, which exceeds the required minimum of 270 votes.

Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who is also the current vice president, received 226 electoral votes.

The certification procedure was conducted by both houses of Congress and was completed by Kamala Harris, who announced the official result.

The inauguration of President-elect Trump is scheduled for January 20, 2025.

The event will traditionally take place at the Capitol, where Trump will be sworn in before Congress, invited guests, and US citizens.

This marks Donald Trump’s return to the White House after his first term (2016-2020).

It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confident in the ability of US President-elect Donald Trump to end Russia’s large-scale military aggression.
