The Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada has supported a bill that proposes to grant the right to demobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine if their non-family members were killed in the war. This was reported by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on Telegram, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

“The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence unanimously supported the bill on granting the right to discharge to those whose half-relatives were killed or went missing while participating in hostilities (No. 11531),” the MP wrote.

If the draft law is passed in the Rada, military personnel whose half-brothers and sisters were killed or went missing in the war will be granted the right to be discharged from service.

Honcharenko urged his colleagues to immediately submit the draft law for voting.

It should be noted that on August 21, the Verkhovna Rada passed a bill that granted a deferral from mobilization to non-family members of the fallen and missing defenders. This initiative was supported by 310 MPs.
