Commander of the “North” command is dismissed – media

Major General Dmytro Krasilnikov, commander of the operational command “North”, has been dismissed.

The general said this in a commentary to Suspilne TV, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

He said that the order for his dismissal was signed on March 7, and he was not given any reasons. The general himself speculates on the reasons for this decision, but did not want to talk about it.

He only said that there were no significant reasons for this, and the events in the Kursk region were not, he said, either, because he left there “back in November 2024.”

Currently, he is in a reserve battalion, and Oleksiy Shandar, the deputy commander of the Air Assault Forces of Ukraine, has been appointed in his place.

The operational command “North” refused to comment on the information about Krasylnikov’s dismissal, hromadske reports .

Dmitry Sergeevich Krasilnikov is a major general. With the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the commander of the operational and tactical group “North” fought off a continuous assault for two days, saved people and equipment. And he did not allow the enemy to attack Kharkiv from the Luhansk region.

On February 28, 2022, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine for personal courage and heroism in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath.
