Kharkiv under drone attack: dozens of hits, fires, 40 injured

On the evening of May 2, Russian occupation forces attacked the city of Kharkiv with drones, and there are victims. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

According to Terekhov, an apartment building was damaged as a result of the shelling of Kharkiv by enemy drones.

“Cars are burning near it. Information about the victims is being clarified,” he said.

Terekhov said that 17 arrivals were recorded in the city in different locations. Fires have been reported at the sites of the arrivals.

The number of victims has increased to 40.

It is also known that an enemy UAV hit a private house.

The arrivals were recorded:

  • Sloboda district: fires broke out as a result of shelling. Private cars were damaged;
  • Kyivskyi district: the fall of an enemy drone was recorded. The consequences are being established;
  • Osnoviansk district: a house and a shop were damaged by an explosive wave and debris from a UAV strike, and a fire broke out. The roof of a 9-storey building also caught fire;
  • Saltiv district: a drone hit the ground. A multi-storey building and cars parked in the yard were damaged.

Specialized services are currently repairing the damage.
