Kanye West was banned from Twitch 7 minutes after the start of his first stream

29 April 22:14

American rapper Kanye West made his debut on the Twitch platform, but his first stream lasted only 7 minutes, after which the administration blocked the channel. The reason for the blocking was the artist’s extremely unacceptable behavior, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing UNN.

During a short stream on the yeezy_stream channel, West violated several rules of the Twitch community: he demonstrated a Nazi salute, shouted “Heil Hitler,” made anti-Semitic statements, and used racist and homophobic statements.

After the channel was blocked, users who try to access the stream’s page see a message about temporary inaccessibility due to violation of the platform’s rules. It is currently unknown whether West’s account will ever be restored.

Kanye West: the enfant terrible of American pop culture

Since 2022, Kanye West, also known as Ye, has been at the center of numerous scandals involving anti-Semitic statements, racist symbols, and provocative behavior.

In October 2022, West posted a statement on Twitter that he was “going to death con 3 on Jewish people,” which caused widespread condemnation and led to the termination of contracts with Adidas, Balenciaga, Gap, and others.

In December 2022, West appeared on the Alex Jones show, where he expressed his admiration for Hitler, denied the Holocaust, and called himself a Nazi. He then posted an image of a swastika integrated into a Star of David on Twitter, which led to the blocking of his account.

In 2023, West apologized for his previous anti-Semitic remarks, writing on Instagram: “Watching 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill made me love Jews again.”

In February 2025, he found himself at the center of another scandal after he placed ads during the Super Bowl that directed users to his website Yeezy.com. The only product on the site was a white T-shirt with a swastika, marked with the code “HH-01,” which, according to the Anti-Defamation League, is an abbreviation for “Heil Hitler.”

After a wave of criticism, Shopify suspended the store’s service, claiming that it had violated its terms of use. West claimed to have earned $40 million the day after the launch of the T-shirt sale.

In March 2025, West appeared in public wearing a black outfit similar to that of the Ku Klux Klan and a swastika necklace. This act caused public outrage and condemnation from human rights organizations.

In April 2025, West wrote about an incestuous relationship with his cousin as a child. After that, he wrote that since everyone now thinks he is gay, he can use the word “faggot,” which is an obscene and socially prohibited equivalent of the word “gay” in English.
