Personnel changes in the government: who was dismissed by the Cabinet and who is now in office

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to dismiss a number of officials, including the head of the State Statistics Service, Ihor Verner. This was announced by the government’s permanent representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed him: Ihor Yevhenovych Werner from the post of the head of the State Statistics Service,” he wrote.
Werner became Deputy Head of the State Service for Children on Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.
Ihor Werner has been the head of the State Statistics Service since December 9, 2016. In November 2021, the government extended his tenure for another five years.
The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Arsen Makarchuk as the head of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Prior to his appointment, Makarchuk served as Director of the Strategy and Development Department of the National Bank of Ukraine since 2020.
In addition, other agencies have been affected by personnel changes. Melnychuk said that Oleh Tsilvik was temporarily assigned the duties of the head of the State Export Control Service of Ukraine.
Ihor Klymenko was dismissed from his position as deputy head of the State Agency of Ukraine for the Development of Land Reclamation, Fisheries and Food Programs, and Serhiy Dekhtyarenko from his position as deputy head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.
