This season, Ukrainian footwear brand Kachorovska is launching an award for young brands participating in Ukrainian Fashion Week. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the the page of Kachorovska’s Instagram page.
Alina Ocheretyana, CEO of Kacho Group (which includes the Kachorovska footwear brand), said that young fashion brands are the most vulnerable to the challenges of war. In order to ensure that Ukraine and the Ukrainian fashion industry do not lose the next generation of designers, the brand is announcing an award to support their potential, their future and their ability to develop in difficult conditions.
“Our mission is to support the fashion industry in the country and inspire young artists who are just starting out to keep creating. It is important for us that the new generation of talents ties their future to Ukraine,” added Iryna Danilevska, CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.
The grant from Kachorovska will be used to increase production capacity, purchase professional software, participate in international showrooms, educational programmes for designers and team members, materials, digital marketing or shoot a ready-to-wear collection. The winner will be selected by the Kachorovska team headed by Alina Ocheretyana, co-founder and CEO of Kacho Group, and creative director of Kachorovska.
The winner will be announced on 4 September.
