The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the head of the State Water Transport Service: what is known about the new head

on February 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to dismiss Yevhen Ihnatenko from the post of head of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine. This was announced by the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

“Ignatenko Yevhen Oleksandrovych has been dismissed from the post of the Head of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine,” he said.

The reasons for Ihnatenko’s dismissal and whether there will be further personnel changes in the Shipping Administration have not yet been disclosed.

It should be noted that Ihnatenko was appointed head of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine in December 2022. Prior to that, he was the head of the Nibulon fleet, and since 2017 he has been the commercial director of Green-Transportation LLC. In 2020, he became a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, and since 2022 he has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During his service, he participated in the liberation of Kherson.

Who will head the State Water Transport Service?

Mykola Kravchuk, who previously served as the first deputy head of the agency, has been appointed acting head of the State Water Transport Service.

“Mykola Mykolayovych Kravchuk has been temporarily assigned the duties of the Head of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine,” Melnychuk said.

What is known about Mykola Kravchuk

Education:

Mykola Kravchuk graduated from the National Academy of Internal Affairs, majoring in Law, with a Bachelor of Laws degree, and from the National Academy of Internal Affairs, majoring in Law, with a Lawyer degree.

Career:

Mr. Kravchuk has extensive management experience:

  • In May 2023, he became the head of the Obukhiv District State Administration in Kyiv Oblast.
  • From 2011 to 2023, he held senior positions at various enterprises, including the position of First Deputy Director of Kyivblagoustrii in 2022-2023.

Mykola Kravchuk received the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Badge of Merit “For Service and Victory” of the III degree and the Honorary Badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “For Assistance to the Army”.

On November 25, Mykola Kravchuk was appointed First Deputy Head of the Shipping Administration.
