The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the calculation of Soviet service for pensions

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a number of documents on determining the length of service in the territory of the USSR republics before 1992 for the purpose of granting pensions. This was announced by the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The Procedure for confirming and crediting periods of work of citizens in another country to the insurance period (length of service) for determining the right to an old-age pension has also been approved. In addition, clause 22 of the Procedure for Confirming the Existing Length of Service for Granting Pensions in the Absence of a Work Record Book or Relevant Records in It has been removed from the Procedure for Confirming the Length of Service of Ukrainian Citizens Abroad.
Currently, paragraph 22 stipulates that the length of service of Ukrainian citizens abroad is confirmed by documents legalized in accordance with the law (except for work in the territory of the former USSR and states with which the former USSR had concluded social security agreements before the conclusion of the relevant bilateral agreements).
The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Pension Fund of Ukraine to ensure the review of decisions made since 2024 regarding persons who worked before January 1, 1992.
