The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved amendments to the eHouse programme that will reduce the down payment on a mortgage from 20% to 10% for citizens under the age of 25. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, according to Komersant ukrainskyi
“We expect the share of young people among the programme users to grow. Young families will have more opportunities to buy property and ensure their own well-being,” he said.
More than 12,000 Ukrainian families, including military personnel, law enforcement officers, teachers, doctors and scientists, have already used the eHouse programme.
As a reminder, the state programme eHouse was launched in October 2022. It was expanded in 2023. Ukrainians who do not have their own housing, veterans and internally displaced persons can take out loans at 7% interest rate.
The conditions of participation in eHouse for military personnel, security forces, doctors, teachers and scientists remain unchanged. They can get a preferential mortgage at 3% per annum.
