The Cabinet of Ministers has reduced the number of civil servants in six agencies

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution to reduce the number of employees of territorial bodies of central executive authorities in six agencies. The relevant document was published on the government portal, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
According to the government’s decision, the staff of central government agencies remains unchanged.
Employees of the Ministry of Justice, the State Statistics Service, and Ukrtransbezpeka will be laid off. The staff of each of these agencies will be reduced by 20 people.
The territorial offices of the State Geocadastre, the State Labor Service and the State Environmental Inspectorate will also lose 10 employees each.

Thus, the number of employees was reduced in:
- The Ministry of Justice – by 20 people to 13252 people;
- The State Statistics Service – by 20 people to 3939;
- The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection – by 20 people to 7365;
- The State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre – by 10 people to 4,036;
- The State Labor Service – by 10 people to 2,103;
- State Environmental Inspectorate – by 10 people to 1531.
The number of employees in the central offices of these agencies remains unchanged.
According to the Ministry of Finance, as of January 1, 2024, 108 public authorities employed 169 thousand people.
In 2023, the actual number of employees decreased by 6.8 thousand employees.
