ProstoSite initiative promises entrepreneurs 5000 free online stores

PrivatBank and Shop-Express, a platform for creating branded online stores, have launched the ProstoSite initiative. This was reported by the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

As noted in a joint press release by the project initiators, the project will provide small businesses with 5000 free online stores and thus help them start in the field of e-commerce.

As part of the project, entrepreneurs will receive

– a year of free use of an online store on the Shop-Express platform;

– a website design that can be easily adapted to the brand

– connection to PrivatBank’s LiqPay Internet acquiring service without the involvement of developers;

– an account for creating and managing the website;

– the ability to add up to 1000 products with variations (colors, sizes, etc.).

How to take advantage of this offer

To use the online store, you need to

– on the Shop-Express page, click “Create a store” and open the store (detailed explanations in the video tutorial)

– fill the online store with goods and information;

– connect LiqPay Internet acquiring, your domain and delivery methods within 30 days;

– notify your Shop-Express manager: “I have connected LiqPay” and get another 11 months of using the online store for free.

The Shop-Express platform has previously supported Ukrainian businesses by providing a free migration from Russian to Ukrainian platforms during the war. In 2023, Shop-Express initiated the Trade Development Program for small and medium-sized businesses, working with partners such as OLX, lifecell, Webpromo, Visa, monobank, Ringostat, and Nazovni from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Online commerce has great potential for development in Ukraine

Today, there are about 11 million online shoppers in Ukraine, who make 17 online purchases per year for an average of UAH 1,300. Both the number of online shoppers and the frequency of purchases have increased over the past year. This is stated in the Promodo study.

In total, during 2024, Ukrainians purchased goods and services online for a total of UAH 239 billion. This is 25% more than in 2023.‍

In addition, according to traffic estimates from Similarweb, more than 90% of people in Ukraine use the Internet, 78% of them on a daily basis. This means that Internet penetration is phenomenal and the potential for online business growth is great.
