Elon Musk will have his own city

Residents of one of the communities in the United States, which lives around the launch pads for Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets, have voted to create a new city. It will be called Starbase.
Bloomberg writes about it, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
This decision was supported by 212 people. Another 6 voted against. Most of them are SpaceX employees.
Residents also elected the first three officials – they are current and former SpaceX employees and ran without any opposition. No one voted against their choice.
The city’s area is about 3.75 square kilometers. According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk will be able to introduce any rules in the newly created city. It will also give SpaceX unique powers to set the pace of its own development in the area, including zoning, construction projects, and pedestrian aspects of life.
The city is located in the Boca Chica neighborhood, which used to be home to mostly retirees. Now, according to Bloomberg, it is a thriving production site for the development of Starship space rockets.
