Igor Mazepa strengthens his position in the energy sector with a new investment in a drilling company

Investor and founder of Concorde Capital Igor Mazepa has become the new owner of the Ukrainian drilling company Beiken Energy Ukraine. The transaction was announced by the press service of Beiken Energy Group, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

The Cypriot company Prato Golf Investments LTD, owned by Mazepa, became the new owner of the company. It bought the business from the Chinese Beiken Energy Group, which founded the Ukrainian subsidiary in 2017.

Who joined the management team

  • Ihor Mazepa became the head of the company’s Supervisory Board.
  • Joe D. Rainey, an American energy executive with more than 40 years of experience, including at Halliburton, one of the world’s largest oil and gas service corporations, also joined the Supervisory Board.

“Joe’s experience includes managing complex international operations and developing drilling and service businesses in more than 50 countries. I am confident that this will contribute to the development of the company and help overcome a possible gas shortage in the country,” said Mazepa.

What is known about the company

Beiken Energy Ukraine has been operating in the Ukrainian oil and gas market since 2017. The company specializes in:

  • drilling operations,
  • integrated project management (IPM).

The production base is located in Poltava.
