IBF stripped Lomachenko of his championship belt

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has officially confirmed that Vasyl Lomachenko has announced the end of his professional boxing career. In this regard, he has been stripped of his IBF lightweight world title, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“The IBF is proud and honored to have Mr. Lomachenko as part of its history. His achievements in the ring – both in professional and amateur boxing – are truly exceptional. He has created a legacy marked by determination, skill and sportsmanship that will inspire generations of future boxers,” the organization said in an official statement.
The federation thanked the Ukrainian boxer for his contribution to the development of the sport and wished him success in future projects.
Raymond Muratalla is the new IBF lightweight champion

Due to the vacated title, interim IBF lightweight champion Raymond Muratalla automatically received the status of a full-fledged world champion in this category.
Who will be the first contender
on June 14, 2025, a qualifying fight for the status of mandatory contender for the IBF lightweight title will take place. Andy Cruz and Hinonori Mishiro will fight in the ring.
The winner of this fight will be eligible for a mandatory title fight against Muratalla, which will be the new champion’s first defense of the belt.
