The GRU hacked the servers of the Russian Ministry of Defence

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has managed to gain access to the servers of the Russian Ministry of Defence. This was reported by Kommersant Ukrainian with reference to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine’s press service

“🔥 Now the Ukrainian intelligence service has the information security and encryption software used by the Russian Ministry of Defence, as well as an array of secret service documents of the Russian Ministry of War. 📄 We are talking about orders, reports, instructions, reports and other documents that circulated between >2000 structural units of the Russian security agency,”

– the service said.

The information obtained makes it possible to fully understand the work of the entire ministry and all its individual units, as well as to identify the leadership and all key individuals in the institution. For example, the DIU has obtained the official documents of the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Timur Ivanov.

“🤝 This deputy shoigu played an important role in making the cyberattack successful,”

– the intelligence service said.
