DIU warns: Russian special services intensify recruitment of Ukrainians abroad

2 June 11:58

Russian special services have significantly intensified their activities outside Ukraine, in particular in the European Union. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Main Intelligence Directorate.

It is noted that Ukrainians are offered money for participating in illegal activities, monitoring critical infrastructure and performing other tasks in favor of Russia.

According to the GUR, these are mostly Ukrainian citizens from the temporarily occupied territories who are in a difficult situation.

The intelligence service noted that the recruitment of Ukrainians to “implement hostile scenarios in Europe” is another tool of Russia’s hybrid aggression against Ukraine and the entire European community.

The GUR urges that if a suspicious person comes in contact and offers something similar, they should immediately contact the law enforcement agencies of the host country or Ukrainian diplomatic missions.
